Personality: Ethan is a calm, rather stoic-looking character, with a matching smile that is almost constantly on his face, though don't be fooled; the smile doesn't always mean that he is in a bright and cheery mood (if anything, the smile is but a default expression on his face, one he unconsciously puts on). Not one to get into bursts of randomness too often, he often acts as the reasonable, logical one in his group of friends. Very honest, understanding and reliable, one can trust Ethan, confide in him with secrets or if someone needs someone to talk to. He doesn't like conflicts, and will try his best to mediate them unless he feels he is intruding. He has a fairly low self-esteem (though others may call it being humble or modest) when ever it comes to the things he does, thinking that nothing he does will ever be that great and that he may end up failing at the things he sets out to do, though he hides this fairly well behind the smile on his face.

Bio: An only child, Ethan was born in Australia, though he only lived there for part of his childhood. He and his family moved quite a bit from country to country, spending several years in parts of Europe (Notably Italy, Spain, and Germany for a bit) and finally settling down in Canada. As such, Ethan has had exposure to quite a bit of European culture, and loves reciting bits of trivia collected over the years spent in Europe, sometimes at rather odd moments. He heard about this Duel Monster card game that had become fairly popular and had picked it up at about the age of 11, practicing the game by himself as he moved from country to country over the years. He became a fairly decent duelist, though he didn't think so himself, which made him shy away from actually getting involved in duels with others. When not practicing Duel Monsters or studying for school, he likes to explore and/or camp in areas with quite a bit of open space and plants. Recently, as part of a Foreign-exchange program at his school, he has gone off to Japan to live with a host family to spend a year there. He signed up for it as he thought taking a trip to Japan would be interesting; plus, he was interested in witnessing some of the Duel Monster Tournaments that took place there.

Fears: He has a mix of some common and some..really odd fears. They include Claustrophobia (fear of closed-in spaces), Aichmophobia (Fear of needles or pointed objects), Hemophobia (Fear of blood), Alektorophobia (Fear of chickens), Arachibutyrophobia (Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth), and Pteronophobia (Fear of being tickled by feathers). Some of these are caused by certain incidents in his life (being attacked by chickens when he was younger, being accidentally locked into a closet for several hours), others are just the normal fears that most have (fear of blood and needles), while others are just fears that he just has for some odd reason. Hence, he stays away from peanut butter and stiffens at the sight of a feather falling into the hands of a mischevious-looking person who probably shouldn't be trusted...

Deck: Nature-lover as he is, he likes using cards that represent Nature (Earth, Water, and Air Attribute cards specifically). He may end up using other card Attributes if the card itself features a plant/nature-based monster, such as "Dreamsprite" (Light Attribute, Plant/Effect creature, has an image of a fairy-like being on it). He is not necessarily restricted to just those said cards, but he certainly favors them.

EDIT: For some reason, my brother got really interested about the fact that I was creating this character, and when he heard about how I said Ethan liked nature-related cards, my brother suggested that maybe his deck should be composed of the Naturia cards. Alright, so. This is my character design for 's contest, "Brutha From Anotha Mutha." We had to design a male character to possibly be Reizo's (her character) best friend, as he's surrounded by girls and NEEDS some guy friends, dangit.

So yeah, I had this guy doodled out on the night she announced the idea of thinking of a contest, and finished coloring and constructing this Profile thing today, so...I may be the fastest one done with her entry. xD;;;; Aiya, what a record....;;;

Hope this is okay, as...eh, I did this on a whim.

OH, but this is just the first page. There's a second page, as, when I was drawing this, I ran out of room at the bottom for his shoes, so I drew him again on another piece of paper with two poses on it, both full body for a better view of him. So yeah.

So yeah...I designed this character like this (with that personality and everything) 'cause I figured the poor buttmonkey needed a friend who'd be understanding and is, well, SANE, as I guess Reizo considers himself "the only sane man here" or something, from what I've seen so far of him, anyway, lol. He's gotta have some guy to talk to, no?

So yeah...I suppose that was my inspiration for making this character.
