Kaleidoscope Color Wheel

A project from my 12th grade Beginning Art class. Much like the polyhedron, we had to design this little slice, then we flipped the design and traced it all over the wheel to form a pattern, which we then went over with a color scheme that could either be complimentary (using colors that contrast each other on the color wheel), or analogous (using colors that are next to each other on the color wheel, especially those that fit with “warm” or “cool”), and painting each slice with a tint and shade of those colors chosen to create the illusion of movement. I went with a cool color scheme (using green, blue, and purple). Didn’t work out too well with the illusion effect, though, since I think the contrast between the tints and shades was a bit too stark…? I dunno. I guess I just feel like most of my tints ended up being a bit too light or something. *shrug*
